Week 23 - JUST Andes Mints
So this week was a little better than last week was, which is good hahah.
We were able to see a lot of progress in our investigators this week. And while we don’t have a ton, we are teaching some really, really awesome people who I really do love. I was also able to share with an investigator who is struggling my testimony of the atonement. I love the atonement so, so much. Through this we can live with God and our families and with those we love for eternity. We can have joy. We can be clean from all the things. I am far from perfect and while I try really hard to be perfect I always seem to fall short. hahaha. But how grateful I am for my Savior who knows how I am feeling all the time. Sometimes with the language barrier it is still hard for me to communicate with the investigators or with my companion, and I often feel like no one quite understands BUT.... Christ understands. He KNOWS and how awesome is that. I have a huge testimony that God loves us and he is there in the details of our lives.
It also rained TWICE this week!!! In Ica!! It really doesn’t rain here, and that is obvious by the fact that our chapel flooded from a little bit of rain, but oh well. I was very grateful. I stood in the rain and just cried some happy tears, and thanked God for that little blessing. hahaha I also put on my rain boots and rain jacket and leggings and went and played in the rain for a second and tried to pretend like I am still me hahaha.
The last thing which is really silly, but something that I have thought about this week.... I got my package from my family FINALLY after it got lost, and in it were Andes Mints. It reminded me of an experience I had at home. I was in Relief Society in my home ward and a new sister was telling a story about how one day she felt like she should serve another sister, but didn't have much at the time in her house. She said she decided to bring her some candy and it was JUST Andes mints. My mom and I were surprised by the word JUST because we love Andes mints, and we looked over at Taylor and Dana who were also just as surprised. For the sister she wasn’t bringing much, but to us it was something that would have been very welcomed and shown so much love. So this week I have been trying to think about those things that maybe to me are little, but to someone else maybe it’s more than JUST Andes mints.
I am very grateful for this gospel. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my testimony every day, and I am grateful for the things that I am learning as I am struggling through this mission thing that I am doing. One day at a time!!
Love you all
