Week #39 - Happy Birthday MOM
BUENOS
DIAS GRUPO..... my companion always tells me that there is a Spanish video that
says that so there you go. hahha.
Also another birthday shout
out to my cute mom!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ON SATURDAY!!!!!
This week was pretty
normal, but it was really good!!
I went to the dentist
to get some things fixed and sometimes doing things in Peru and not in American
freaks me out just a littlee, but everything seems to be fine so I’m just
praying that Heavenly Father is taking care of me on this one!! hahah.
Also, we had an
appointment with one of our investigators this week and during the lesson he
had a lot of questions about a lot of things. He told us that he wants to be
very prepared and feels like he is a sinner and wants to know a lot about
repentance and all of that. He is worried that he will mess up and knows that
this is something serious. He also knows a lot of things that we are surprised
that he knows, but he is super-duper prepared. He just doesn’t know it yet.
Finally, I was kind of impatient and so decided to share my testimony that no
one is perfect, and even as missionaries we aren’t perfect and make mistakes,
and basically I was crying and my companion said that the spirit was really
strong. I got done and everything, and he was like thank you.... now we can
trust each other...... Do you want some soda?? And then continued to tell us
about how he is friends with his ex-girlfriend..... So apparently, if you trust
someone you offer them soda and tell them stories about your life. hahhaha
anyways. He is progressing and we have faith that he will get baptized.... I am
just learning patience.
We are also planning
on having a baptism this next Saturday with our investigator Alexander, and we
are so excited. He came out of his baptism interview and told us he didn’t want
to get baptized, and then told us just kidding and that it was a joke.... both
my companion and I did not laugh. Turns out the joke was the idea of our district
leader. Alexander felt really bad and called us like 10 minutes later saying
sorry for the joke, and he is really grateful for us and is really content and
excited to be baptized. hahah. He told his mom he was going to have an
interview with the prophet so we had to explain that our district leader was
just a regular missionary not the prophet but that it was still an important
interview. hahaha.
I hope you all have a
great week and I love you all lots!!
