Week 18 - Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
Well
everyone I have been on my mission another 6 weeks!! Yay. We had cambios this
week and I will be staying here in Ica, but I have been given a new companion! My new companion's name is
Hermana Alvarez and she is from Cusco, Peru.
Honestly I feel like a
new missionary all over again. My old companion saw my progress, and could
understand what I was trying to say/ With my new companion it is just
different. I had a really awesome breakdown on Sunday with my ward mission leader because I don’t know my whole area. It is huge and I am still learning Spanish. Also, I don’t like change. I told my ward mission leader I think I would like
this all a lot better if I had it all written out. If I knew all the areas and
all my comps and everything. Too bad the mission or life in general doesn’t
work like that. Its fine.... my ward mission leader is now my new best friend!!
Other than that this
week was pretty normal. We are having FHEs every night for light the world. It
is nice, and is a good reminder to focus on Christ this Christmas and not my
family at home. Well actually I still think about my family and cry a lot.
Whoops.
Here is a fun story. I
accidentally texted my mission president saying donde estan the other day
instead of my zone leaders. Whoops. I’m doing awesome here.
Well that’s all for
this week. I have a testimony that this church is true, and I am where I am
supposed to be. I know that in my heart even though I tell you every week that it is hard.
