Week 27
Hello everyone! This past week I officially hit 6 months here in the mission!! So basically I am already 1/3 done.
This week was pretty good!! We were pretty busy this week. We had an activity almost every single day, and it is nice to stay busy!
This last week went like this....
Monday, we had Pday where we hiked and then I was sore for a few days after that. I guess I am a little out of shape! hahah.
Wednesday, we had Intercambios so I was with another Hermana!!
Thursday, we helped a family in our ward move!! It took a really long time, but it was good to serve.
Saturday, we had a mission night. We stressed about it all day trying to think of something to teach, and in the end only one person showed up! But it was a blessing in disguise because he needed some more lessons before his baptism, and we were able to teach him that night.
Sunday, we had a Capillas Puertas Abiertas activity yesterday, and it was really good. All of the missionaries went and we did a tour of the church basically. Teaching different principles and inviting people to come and listen. It was really good and we got quite a few references. So yay!!!
I am grateful for this mission because I truly am learning a lot. There were multiple times this week when my companion and I were stressed and couldn’t find someone to come with us to appointments. We were able to stop and pray though, and each time we were able to find someone or recognize the answers. I am grateful for my Heavenly Father who I KNOW hears and answers prayers. I know without a doubt that God loves us and has a plan.
It was my beautiful angel’s birthday this past week as well and she is the reason that I am here. I constantly pray to recognize the angels in my life. I am grateful for Sofie and this gospel in my life!
Love you all and I hope you are all doing awesome!!
Oh here are 2 funny stories this week....
I ate rocks.... I went to a restaurant this week and there were literally rocks in my food. Either that or I have hairs in my food from my pension. YUM. Peru is a little different than America.
Also my companion thought it would be really funny to wait for me outside the bathroom to scare me. She said that I sang screamed..... my dad also thought it was really funny to do this at home. She is a part of home with me here in the mission.
Love
Hermana Jacey Petersen
