Week 42 - SAN JUAN

So I am now in SAN JUAN de miraflores. I got transferred, and it honestly was a little bit hard. I love the people in La Campiña and saying goodbye is not my favorite thing, but asi es la mission, and it is kind of part of life so I guess I will just have to get used to it. So yeah. I am here and my new companion is Hermana Hulsey. She is from Utah. So yay another English speaking companion. Hopefully my Spanish doesn't get worse.

This last week was really good. I am glad to have opportunities every day to share the gospel. I really am. This gospel is incredible. As I was saying goodbye to one of the recent converts he started crying and thanked me for changing his life. I am 100 and 10 percent positive that I am not changing lives. This gospel really does change lives and we are imperfect people teaching a perfect message with the help of the lord. This truly is the work of the lord.

We also listened to a transmission of elder Bednar this week when he was in Columbia and he told everyone to Believe IN Christ and Believe Christ. Those are two different things that sometimes get confused and it is a lot easier to believe that he exists then to believe that he can help us with EVERYTHING and that he promises perfect blessings.

OH yeah.... we also went to the temple and I love love the temple. It is truly a refuge and a break from the world. What a blessing it is to have a temple close in my mission.

I love this gospel and I am very grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who knows and loves each of of us.

Have a great week.
Hermana Jacey Petersen
