Week 63 - 100 More Days

Yesterday I asked my companion if she remembered the show 101 Dalmatians, and when she said yes I said awesome.... I have 101 days left!! So..... Today I HAVE 100 DAYS LEFT UNTIL I AM IN UTAH!!!!!!

This week we had a multizona with Elder Zeballos of the Area 70! It was really great! I learned a lot. and he taught us what we should do after we learn and feel the spirit. We need to ask ourselves what we are going to DO now. The action is always the most important!! It is easy to feel the spirit and say wow that’s awesome, but if we don’t ACT we still can’t get the blessings!!

My mom sent me this in her most recent letter to me.... Say you were playing a game of baseball, and two captains were picking their teams. What do you do when one of those captains chooses you?  First of all you are thrilled to have been chosen, but then you ask, "Where do you want me to play?"

So what we should be asking the Lord is where do you want me to play or what do you want me to do now?? If we are willing to do the things he wants us to do, we will grow spiritually and we will see the hand of the Lord in our lives. We will also have more opportunities to serve, and like the scriptures say.... “When we are in the service of our fellow beings we are only in the service of our god!!" It takes it from being passively lead to where the Lord wants to use us, to an active deliberate choice to be in a position to aid in the Lord's work. To be honest, I would much rather be a player in the work than a pawn.

Also this week we  sold hot chocolate and cake with some of our friends so they could get money to get married!!! Hooray!! November 9th we are having a wedding, and November 13th we are having a baptism. I am so, so, so excited for them!! They are the cutest!!! We were walking around the park with Naomi, and she just smiled and said, “Where is my future husband”? This happened right after someone told her she shouldn’t get married!! I am happy that she is so happy to get married and get baptized so she can keep all the commandments!! I also learned that it is hard to sell chocolate and cakes, so I now know I would not be very good at summer sales or a lemonade stand!!

Thank you all for your love and support!!!
Love Hermana Jacey Petersen!!
