Week 69 - THANKSGIVING
Happy Thanksgiving!!! I did miss the Turkey dinner, but don’t worry I went and bought myself a Turkey sandwich which was not the same, but at least I ate some!! Thanksgiving is not celebrated here at all, but here are some things I am grateful for this week....
- I am grateful for BAPTISMS!!!! This week we had a baptism! Hermana Deisy FINALLY got baptized.... I say FINALLY because she has literally been ready forever. When I very first got to this area in October we invited her to be baptized and she accepted. Then told us she wanted to wait a month and a half so her boyfriend’s mom could be there. Anyway.... the boyfriend’s mom came to Peru from Spain so we had a baptism!! I love Deisy, and I love this gospel and I love, love, love when people can make covenants so they can receive more blessings!!!
- I am grateful for my mission president’s wife who is trying to help me feel better. I have felt a little sick these last few weeks, but she is very kind and loving and helping me get better...... If I don’t get better in a few weeks I might be tested for a parasite. hahahahha
- Its DECEMBER!!! So that’s means Christmas and Light the world!!! Yesterday we had a Family Home Evening with the bishop and I love Christmas!!! I love this time that is so focused on the Lord and families and all things fun, and while I am a little sad that I won’t be with MY family for Christmas again, I can still focus on Christ and be here with my cute Peruvian family!!!
- I am grateful that it is getting warmer!!! The sun is coming out and I definitely feel happier!! I didn’t realize how much I really love the sun. Winter in Peru gets longgggg when the sun never comes out! hahah
- My cute companions who came and visited me from Chiclayo and Ecuador who I miss so so, so, so much!!!!!!
- I am grateful for my mission that has taught me so much!!!
- THIS GOSPEL that is so perfect and so awesome, and we can be together with our families forever and ever and we can find so much happiness and peace.
Like I say every week, I am so grateful for this gospel and the opportunity to share this perfect message of Gods perfect plan!
Love you all!!!!
