Week 70 - 16 Months!!!!! and MIRACLES

So these last few weeks have been pretty hard. I have been a little bit stressed because we aren't finding a lot of people and the people that we are finding aren't progressing super fast but this week we saw a HUGE MIRACLE!!!!!

I am again reminded that this is the work of the Lord!!

About a month ago we were working a lot with a couple JERRY and NAHOMI!! They are amazing and were progressing so well. We were so excited for their baptism, but they got married and the day before their baptism they texted us telling us they wanted to talk. We went and they let us know that they weren't quite ready to make promises with their Heavenly Father. That they didn't know if they could keep forever. I was devastated! I love them so much, and I wanted them to receive all the blessings they could!! We kept visiting their family because their family is members, and one day we went over for the birthday of their brother/brother in law and Nahomi told us that she was embarrassed to go to church, but that she was okay going to the classes in the church on Wednesday that our ward has! When we passed by to go to the class on Wednesday we left and she asked us if she could get baptized without Jerry. We told her yes if that is what she wanted. After the class she told us that she wanted to get baptized and wanted to do it soon. She understands that she doesn't have to be perfect to follow Christ. We visited them Friday and she told me that Jerry also wanted to be baptized.

We invited them to be baptized on the 14th and they both accepted. Jerry was a little apprehensive, but Nahomi told me that she understood the importance and was excited!! We then went to church on Sunday and Nahomi looked at me and said HE WANTS TO GET BAPTIZED. Then Jerry told me he also had made the decision to make this promise with God. They then told us they wanted to do it SOONER rather than later, and so we are going to have 2 baptisms on Thursday!! I love them so much and I love when the Lord does amazing things, and people realize that these are amazing things. Nahomi told us that she recognized that when she stops doing little things like reading the scriptures and praying and going to church it leaves room for the enemy to work harder and change her mind. She told us she now understands that we aren't just inviting people to read and pray for fun because we want people to learn or do things, but because these things are powerful and helps us be better people and become closer to Christ!!

THIS IS THE WORK OF THE LORD!!! I am grateful to be an instrument in his hands! I love this gospel!!

I hope you all have a great week and know that I love you so very much!!!
